Migaloo Skips Hervey Bay, Appears Off Cairns (28 June, 2010)

"Migaloo, the famous white humpback, has strangly been missed on his journey up the East Coast of Australia this year. Migaloo, meaning “white fella”, is usually followed eagerly on his annual migration from Antarctica to the warmer waters of Queensland. But this year he has been a bit shy. Eager whale watchers have not spotted him from all the usual vantage points. However he has been spotted recently by a local dive boat offshore from Cairns, in the company of a large female humpback."
